Let's us pray for the 5
Singaporeans Dragon Boaters Who Went Missing
This few days, all Singaporeans
are anxious and worried for the 5 Singaporean rowers who went missing after
their dragon boat capsized in an accident in Cambodia since Friday, 23 November
2007.
Everyone was praying and hoping
for miracle to happen. Everyone really hope they can come back safe and
sound. At that time 17 Singaporean rowers has been rescued only 5 went
missing.
At that point before the accident
took place, it's very tedious to complete a 1.5km race. The rowers were probably
very tired and could have been caught aware by the current which hit their boat.
And there are no strict rules in wearing Life Vest! The Cambodia government
helped us (Singaporeans) and keep on finding the 5 rowers who went missing.
The Five missing rowers are Chee
Wei Cheng, 20, Reuben Kee, 23, Jeremy Goh 24, Poh Boon San 27 and Stephen Loh,
31. All of them are so young and have a good future waiting for them.
For example Reuben kee, 23. He
have a strong and passion for music. He play good music. You can visit to his
website, http://www.reubenkee.com
to listen to his creation. He take part in pageant contests and make us,
Singaporean to be proud of.
It has been more than 48 hours
ongoing to search for them. Even one of the missing rower father says, I think
there's no more hope for their son to be alive and survive.
Our Singapore Prime Minister, Lee
Hsien Loong says,
I am saddened to learn of the
boating accident in Phnom Penh, and of the five members of team who are still
missing. I share the deep concerns of the families of the five Singaporeans. The
Singapore government will do all it can to provide the necessary assistance.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the Cambodian
Authorities for the help they have rendered in rescuing the 17 Singaporean and
in the ongoing search and rescue operations.
It's very anguish that why there
are no strict life vests rule in overseas races! In Singapore, Life vest are a
must in Singapore waters and there are even officers on patrol boats to enforce
it! I think in Overseas, the organiser should set the strict rules to have life
vests in waters sport events!
My friend, let's us join united
as one to pray for them. Let's us pray that there is a miracle for other 3
rowers who are safe and sound. We also pray that the 2 bodies which are found
are not true! Let us not to give up on them. Please come back safe and sound. We
are our hero!! Even the chance for them to survive are not high, at least,
bodies could be found!! Your families, your friends are waiting for you guys to
come back!!! Do not play with them anymore!!! Please come back......
